How To Drive A Manual Car Smoothly

It's easier than you think

With manual transmission cars, starting smoothly requires you to have a good feel for when the clutch "bites." A great way to find that "bite" is to try and hold your position when stopped on an incline.

As soon as you can hold your position it's time to master perfect gear changing.

To change gear:

  1. Press and hold the clutch for a second
  2. Move the shift lever (while the clutch is pressed) to the desired gear
