CHROME MOLYBDENUM STRENGTH FOR POWER TOOL USE

Teng Tools impact sockets are manufactured from heavy duty chrome molybdenum (CR-MO) steel, delivering the exceptional strength and flexibility required for use with pneumatic and power tools.

Black Phosphate Finish

The black phosphate finish provides instant visual identification as an impact-rated accessory and gives maximum protection against corrosion and wear.

6 Point High Torque

The 6 point high torque design grips the flat sides of a fastener rather than the corners, reducing the risk of rounding off even under high load. Roll stamped size markings ensure permanent and instant identification in any working environment.

Range & Standards

Available in metric and SAE, shallow and deep, across a full range of drive sizes. Manufactured to ANSI and DIN standards.

Common questions

What makes an impact socket different from a regular socket?
Material and rating. Impact sockets are made from CrMo (chrome molybdenum) steel to absorb the hammering of pneumatic and power tools. Regular chrome sockets must never be used on impact tools — that's the first rule in the printed care guide.
What sizes and types are available?
Drives from 3/8" up to 1-1/2", in metric and SAE, with standard, deep, stubby, thinwall, extra long and double-ended types — for 6-point, Hex, TX and XZN (triple square) fasteners. Manufactured to DIN and ANSI standards.
Do I need a retaining ring and pin?
On DIN-standard impact sockets, yes — the retaining ring and pin safely secure the socket to the impact tool. Fit them before use.
How do I make impact sockets last?
Keep them clean and dry, use the correct size for the fastener, and never extend the tool with a pole for leverage.
