Lifetime against manufacturing defects. No receipt. Bought anywhere. And it transfers with the tool.
If a Teng tool fails because of how it was made, we replace it. That is the whole policy, and the rest of this page is just us being specific about it.
What is covered
- Hand tools across the range — sockets, wrenches, ratchets, screwdrivers, pliers, hex keys and the rest.
- Tool storage, for the life of the product — roller cabinets, chests, stacks, cases and carts. Not three years, not five. Life.
- The foam and the trays. Cut foam inlays, TC trays and TTX trays are covered as storage, for life. If the foam fails, that is a warranty claim like any other.
No receipt. Ever.
We do not ask for one and we do not need one. If you bought before 2026 your order number belongs to a previous system and is no use to either of us, so do not go looking for it. Tell us the part number stamped on the tool, send a photo, and that is enough.
Bought anywhere
We honour this warranty on a Teng tool regardless of which retailer or distributor sold it to you, and regardless of how long ago. There is no authorized-seller clause and no marketplace exclusion. If it is a Teng tool and it failed because of how it was made, it is covered.
It transfers with the tool
The warranty is attached to the tool, not to the person who first bought it. Sell the box, pass on the kit, hand a set down to an apprentice, and the cover goes with it. You do not need to be the original purchaser and you do not need to tell us the tool changed hands.
Making a claim
Send a photo of the tool and the part number stamped on it, through the claim form or the contact page. Most claims are answered within one business day by our team in Fort Worth, Texas. You do not need to send the tool back for us to look at a claim.
What is not covered
- Normal wear and misuse. A worn tool is not a defective one.
- Screwdriver bits and socket bits. These are consumables. They are guaranteed to meet dimensional standards, but wear from use is not a defect.
- Tools used outside their design — as pry bars, as hammers, or with pipe extensions on the handle.
Torque wrenches and air tools
Teng torque wrenches conform to ISO 6789, are individually tested, and are supplied with a Declaration of Conformance in the box. The certification is included with the wrench, not sold separately.
Teng Tools recommends yearly cleaning and calibration. We do not run a calibration service in the United States, so for periodic recertification use a local calibration house. We would rather tell you that here than have you find out when you ask. Repair kits and individual spare parts are available for ratchets and torque wrenches. Air tool servicing and repair are quoted before any chargeable work starts.
How this compares
Several brands in this category cover hand tools for life but cover the storage for three or five years, require a receipt, or void the warranty if you bought from the wrong seller. Some limit cover to the original purchaser. We have set ours out above so you can check it line by line against anyone else's.
