The two snips are a pair, not a duplicate. The 493-7N follows a curve to the right and the 494-7N a curve to the left, and both cut straight. Each cuts up to 1.5 mm steel or 0.9 mm stainless steel and locks closed with a quick release safety lock for carrying.

The riveter handles aluminum and steel rivets from 2.4 to 4.8 mm and stainless steel rivets up to 4.0 mm, so it is not limited to the aluminum rivets for metal panels supplied in the tray. Rivets sit in individual compartments, so the sizes stay sorted.

• RIGHT CUT SNIP (493-7N) — The straight and right cut compact tin snip, 182 mm (7.2 inch), for straight lines and curves to the right. Drop forged chrome molybdenum alloy steel blades with serrated edges cut up to 1.5 mm (0.06 inch) steel or 0.9 mm (0.035 inch) stainless steel. A sheet metal cutter compact enough to carry on the job, with a quick release safety lock. Weight 210 g (7.4 oz).
• LEFT CUT SNIP (494-7N) — The matching straight and left cut version, the same 182 mm length and the same steel and stainless capacity, for straight lines and curves to the left. With both metal snips on hand a curve can be followed in either direction. The spring-loaded mechanism and bi-material grip make repetitive cutting quicker and easier on the hand. • BODY WORKING HAMMER (HMBH03) — A 325 mm (12.8 inch) hammer for forming. The forged alloy steel head has a mirror-polished 32.5 mm (1.28 inch) round crown face for shaping and smoothing and a square milled face for shrinking metal, set on a hickory handle with a traditional grip for long sessions. Weight 468 g (16.5 oz).
• CUT, FORM, FASTEN — Panel and duct work runs in that order: the two snips cut the shape, the hammer forms and flattens the edge, and the riveter joins the result with blind rivets set from one side.
