Common questions
What are Teng pliers made of?
Chrome molybdenum alloy steel for maximum durability and strength — the cutting capacity is laser-marked right next to the cutting edge, so you can see at a glance which pliers handle the wire in front of you.
TPR grip or vinyl grip — which handle?
TPR bi-material handles are the ergonomic choice: more comfortable, extra support when applying greater force, lighter weight. Vinyl grip is the slim option: light, compact and textured against slipping, with a slim profile for greater access in tight spaces.
Can these cut hardened wire?
Depends on the model — each pair is rated per wire type: piano wire, hard, medium hard, soft, steel, stainless steel, spring steel and iron wire. Check the laser-marked capacity beside the cutting edge before you cut.
Why do the lengths vary between types?
The total length of each pair is designed to provide maximum leverage for its job — whether combination, water pump, flat or circlip pliers.
What's in the range beyond the basics?
Alongside side cutters, combination and slip joint pliers: cable pliers, cable-tie cutters, frapping pliers, nail nippers, electronic pliers, precision shears and tweezers.
