Measuring and Precision Set

For machine setup and maintenance work, this Teng Tools bundle puts the instruments that measure and the keys that adjust in one order: a measuring tray with a caliper, multimeter, feeler gauge and thread gauge, plus metric and SAE ball point hex keys and TX keys.

What is in the box:

• TTDCM: 4-piece measuring set in a TT2 tray. A 4 function caliper with digital display (0 to 150 mm), a digital multimeter, a feeler gauge with 20 blades from 0.05 to 1.0 mm, and a metric and UNC thread gauge (0.25 to 6.0 mm). Batteries included.
• TTHT28: 28-piece ball point hex and TX key set on a TT1 tray. Ten metric hex keys from 1.5 to 10 mm, nine SAE hex keys from 5/64 to 3/8 inch, and nine TX keys from TX8 to TX40, each group in a folding holder.

Why they go together: setup work moves between checking and adjusting. A gap is checked with the feeler gauge, a thread is identified with the thread gauge, a part is read with the caliper, and the hex and Torx screws that hold it are turned with the keys. With metric and SAE sizes in the same tray, this works as a complete allen wrench set for mixed machinery as well as a measuring kit.

The hex keys have ball point long arms for access at angles of up to 25 degrees and straight short ends for higher torque. The trays are TT module sizes 1 and 2, so they sit side by side in a Teng Tools drawer.

• MEASURE, CHECK, THEN ADJUST — For machine setup and maintenance work, this bundle pairs the TTDCM 4-piece measuring tray with the TTHT28 28-piece hex and TX key tray. Measure a part, check a gap or a thread, then set the fastener that holds it, without leaving the bench for a second drawer. Both are standard Teng Tools sets in TT module trays: TT2 for the instruments and TT1 for the keys, ideal for mechanics and technicians.
• MEASURING TOOL SET, BATTERIES INCLUDED — The TTDCM tray holds a 4 function caliper with digital display, reading 0 to 150 mm (5.9 inch), a digital multimeter, a 20 blade feeler gauge from 0.05 to 1.0 mm (0.002 to 0.04 inch) with 100 mm (3.9 inch) blades, and a metric and UNC thread gauge covering 0.25 to 6.0 mm. Batteries are included, so the instruments are ready for diagnostic and measuring work out of the box.
• METRIC AND SAE HEX KEY SET — The TTHT28 covers ten metric ball point hex keys in 1.5, 2, 2.5, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8 and 10 mm and nine SAE keys in 5/64, 3/32, 1/8, 5/32, 3/16, 7/32, 1/4, 5/16 and 3/8 inch. Ball point long arms reach fasteners at angles of up to 25 degrees, and the straight short ends are machined for a tight fit, to apply higher torque without damaging the fastener.
• TORX SET AND FOLDING HOLDERS — Nine TX keys form a Torx set in TX8, TX9, TX10, TX15, TX20, TX25, TX27, TX30 and TX40. Each of the three key groups (metric hex, SAE hex and TX) is housed in its own folding plastic holder, so a full range comes out of the tray together and goes back the same way. The TT1 tray adds a removable lid and dovetail joints.
• TRAY SIZES AND SUPPLY — The measuring tray is TT2 size, 282 x 265 mm (11.1 x 10.4 inch) and 50 mm (2 inch) high, at 1136 g (2.5 lb). The key tray is TT1 size, 265 x 142 mm (10.4 x 5.6 inch), at 1177 g (2.6 lb). Both are shipped together from Fort Worth, Texas.
