Common questions
Are these workshop-grade or precision instruments?
Both, made to the DIN precision standards: the micrometer to DIN 863, the digital and vernier calipers to DIN 862, the tape measure to Cat II accuracy class. Micrometer and calipers each come in their own storage case.
Digital or vernier caliper?
Both are 4-function (height, width, depth, step) 0-150mm instruments to DIN 862. The digital reads to 0.01mm with big 10mm figures, switches between mm and inches, zeroes in any position and auto-switches off (CR2032 battery supplied). The vernier is all stainless steel with lapped edges and dual metric/inch scales at 0.05mm and 1/128" — no battery to die.
What does the micrometer offer?
0-25mm with a friction thimble and locking nut, a forged frame with hardened steel polished measuring surfaces, and a matt chrome scale for easy reading — DIN 863.
Do the levels survive workshop treatment?
The torpedo and box levels have crush-proof, high-transparency vials that resist UV and temperature swings, shock-absorbent end protectors, temperature-proof vial mountings and underside magnets that hold the level to steel workpieces.
Can the measuring tools live in my tool kit?
Yes — everything is available individually or in TT trays, so measuring tools drop into your existing kit drawers like any other set.
What else is in the range?
Feeler gauges (0.05-1.0mm hardened rolled steel), a thread gauge with 54 blades for metric and UNC, dial gauge with magnetic stand, stainless steel rules, tape measures with rubberized wet-grip cases, sliding bevels, try squares and a 300mm combination square with protractor and built-in spirit level.
