1/2 Inch Drive Insert Ratchet Head

The Teng Tools 1292CQ200R is a 1/2 inch drive ratchet head for insert torque wrenches, with a 45 teeth ratchet and a 14 x 18 mm insert fitting. Teng Tools designs it for use with the P-SERIES insert torque wrenches: it slots into the wrench like any 14 x 18 mm insert and turns it into a ratcheting socket wrench that still tightens to the set torque value.

The 45 teeth ratchet means you can work a run of fasteners to the set value without taking the socket off between strokes. Direction changes with a push twist action on the head, and the 1/2 inch drive has a quick release, so sockets change over cleanly when the fastener size changes.

The head has a satin finish. It measures 70.5 mm (2.8 in) long, 42.5 mm (1.7 in) wide and 46 mm (1.8 in) high, and weighs 288 g (10.2 oz), so it stores in the torque wrench case or a drawer with your other 14 x 18 mm inserts.

Use it where a socket reaches the fastener better than an open end or a ring: on studs, on recessed nuts and on bolt patterns where you want to keep the socket seated between strokes. Swap back to an open end or ring insert when the job calls for it.
