Why this one
Forged steel head and handle
Built as a single piece with no joint between head and handle, this tool eliminates the loosening that plagues traditional wood or fiberglass designs.
Vibration-dampening grip
The overmolded black and red handle is engineered to reduce impact energy transmitted to your hand and wrist during repetitive driving.
Professional 16 oz weight
At 720 g, this is the go-to weight class for general-purpose carpentry.
Jobsite-ready dimensions
Measuring 333 mm (13.1 in) in overall length, this tool fits standard hammer loops and belt holsters.
Built for the trade
Designed as a daily driver for carpenters, framers, remodelers, and general contractors.

Drive and pull nails with confidence using this 16 oz forged steel one-piece tool from Teng Tools. The head and handle are formed from a single piece of forged steel, so there is no glue joint, no epoxy, and no wedge to work loose over thousands of swings.
The 29 mm diameter head concentrates striking force onto nail heads for clean, accurate drives, and the curved claw on the reverse side lets you lever out bent or misplaced nails without reaching for a separate pry bar. At 720 g and 333 mm (13.1 in) overall, the balance point sits close to the head for a natural swing that converts arm motion into impact energy efficiently.
An overmolded black and red handle wraps the steel core to dampen vibration before it reaches your palm. The textured surface maintains grip in sweaty or dusty conditions, reducing the chance of a slip mid-swing. Whether you are assembling stud walls, securing roof sheathing, or pulling old nails during a remodel, this design keeps your hand and wrist comfortable through hours of repetitive use.
This is a general-purpose nail hammer sized for the tasks carpenters face every day: framing, blocking, sheathing, decking, trim, and tear-out. It fits standard hammer loops and stores compactly in a toolbox or truck-bed organizer. Add it to your carpenter tools lineup and keep a reliable striker within reach on every project.
