When a retaining ring sits deep inside a bore or housing, ordinary straight-tip pliers cannot reach it at the right angle. This 235 mm (9.3 in) inner bent circlip plier solves that problem with a curved jaw geometry that aligns the 235 mm tips with the ring holes even in confined spaces. Constructed from chrome vanadium, the tool maintains tip alignment under the spring tension of the ring, so you get a clean release or installation without the tips walking out of the holes. The 325 g balanced weight keeps the plier comfortable for mechanics tools work through long rebuild sessions on transmissions, transfer cases, and hydraulic assemblies. Internal circlips are found wherever bearings, seals, or shafts must be retained inside a cylindrical housing. Removing or installing them with improvised tools risks scoring the bore, bending the ring, or sending it flying across the shop.
