13 Piece Socket Extension Set

The Teng Tools TTXEXT13 is a 13 piece extension bar set for working in hard to reach places. It brings extra long extension bars, wobble bars and universal joints on all three common drive sizes, 1/4, 3/8 and 1/2 inch, together in one TTX4 tool tray, along with a reducing adaptor, the Teng Tools T-HD handle grip and two hex mini screwdrivers.

The 1/2 inch and 3/8 inch drives each get a 500 mm (19.7 in) bar, a 75 mm (3.0 in) wobble bar and a universal joint. The 1/4 inch drive gets two straight bars, 150 mm (5.9 in) and 305 mm (12.0 in), and its own universal joint. A long socket extension keeps your hand and the ratchet clear of the engine, chassis or machine around the fastener; a wobble bar or joint gets the socket onto a nut that sits at an angle.

The reducing adaptor takes a 3/8 inch F drive down to 1/4 inch M. Teng Tools designed the T-HD handle grip to clip onto this 3/8 F x 1/4 M T-bar adaptor for a more comfortable grip while working. Use any ratchet extension in the tray with the ratchet or breaker bar you already own on that drive.

The tray has a PS inlay with a marked position for each of the thirteen pieces, so an empty position shows what has not come back to the drawer. It is a TT-Series module size X4, measures 570 x 115 x 44.7 mm (22.4 x 4.5 x 1.8 in) and weighs 2088 g (4.6 lb) with everything in place. The set is designed and manufactured to DIN and ISO standards, according to Teng Tools.

• A 1/2 extension bar 500 mm (19.7 in) long for bolts buried deep behind other parts, a 1/2 inch wobble bar 75 mm (3.0 in) long, and a 1/2 inch universal joint for turning the drive through an angle. The long bar and the joint together let a breaker or ratchet stay clear of the obstruction while the socket sits on the fastener.
• A 3/8 extension bar 500 mm (19.7 in) long, a 3/8 inch wobble bar 75 mm (3.0 in) long and a 3/8 inch universal joint. The wobble bar lets the socket sit slightly off line with the bar, so you can reach a fastener that is not square to you without stacking a joint, and the joint takes over when the angle is steeper than that.
• Two 1/4 extension bars, 150 mm (5.9 in) and 305 mm (12.0 in) long, plus a 1/4 inch universal joint. Small drive fasteners on trim, sensors, brackets and panels often sit at the back of a narrow gap, and these give a short and a longer reach on the lightest drive in the set, with the joint for awkward angles.
• The set includes a reducing adaptor 3/8 inch F to 1/4 inch M, so the 1/4 drive pieces can run from a 3/8 drive handle. The Teng Tools T-HD handle grip clips onto that 3/8 F x 1/4 M T-bar adaptor to give a more comfortable grip while working. Two hex mini screwdrivers, sizes 2 and 2.5, complete the thirteen pieces.
