Mini Hacksaw

The Teng Tools 704 is a compact hack saw: a blade holder with a non-slip plastic handle that takes any standard 12 inch hacksaw blade. It is supplied with a Teng Tools 12 inch (300 mm) blade with 24 teeth per inch for metal, so it is ready to use straight away.

The blade is held at the handle end, which leaves the rest of its length free. Teng Tools rates the holder as ideal for use as a key hole saw: feed the blade through a drilled hole to start an internal cut, or reach into a gap where a full frame will not fit. In tight engine bays, cabinets, panels and service ducts that is often the only way to make the cut.

The handle is plastic with a non-slip grip, and the complete saw weighs 112 g (4.0 oz). It is small and light enough to carry in a tool bag or a toolbox drawer as the saw you reach for first on short cuts in bolts, threaded rod, tube and brackets.

The same holder is part of the Teng Tools TEFX06, TEFX06E and TEFX07 sets, so it also replaces the saw from one of those. When the blade wears, fit any standard 12 inch hacksaw blade, or use Teng Tools 702 replacement blades (two 24 TPI blades per pack, sold separately).
