The Teng Tools MDV840N is a PH0 Phillips driver insulated for electrical work. It is approved for live working up to 1,000 volts, carries the VDE certificate and is designed and manufactured to DIN 2380 and IEC 60900.
The protective insulation is integrated and made in two colours, which Teng Tools specifies to clearly indicate if there is any damage to the insulation. Inspect it before use and take the driver out of service if the insulation is damaged.
The tip is PH0, for use with Phillips type screws in the small PH0 size. The shaft is 60 mm (2.36 in) and the overall length is 156 mm (6.1 in), which keeps it compact for small fixings in enclosures, switchgear and control panels. The blade is TT-MV PLUS steel alloy, chosen by Teng Tools for greater strength and material flexibility.
The ergonomically designed bi-material handle, size S, is made for easy use with higher torque. The driver weighs 27 g (0.95 oz) and has a tethering facility, so it can be secured with a tool lanyard when working at height. It is the electrical screwdriver to add when a 1000 V kit is missing its PH0, or to replace a driver whose insulation is no longer intact.
