100 to 600 ft-lb range

Adjustable from 100 to 600 ft-lb for controlled tightening of large fasteners on trucks, heavy equipment and structures.

Read the full description

The Teng Tools 3492UAG-E1 is a 3/4 inch square drive wrench with an adjustable torque setting from 100 to 600 ft-lb. It is made for the controlled tightening of fasteners in high-torque applications, where a specific torque value is required and a large nut or bolt must be taken to its specified figure rather than tightened by feel.

The 100 to 600 ft-lb range is stated in foot pounds. Take the value from the specification, set it on the wrench and tighten. Set it once and every fastener on a flange or in a pattern is taken to the same number; change the setting only when the specification changes.

The 3/4 inch square drive takes standard 3/4 inch drive sockets, so the large sockets already in your kit fit without adapters. That makes it a straightforward addition to a 3/4 inch drive kit in a fleet workshop, a plant or fabrication shop, a maintenance department or on site.

At these values a fastener is hard to judge by hand, and both faults of guessing cost time: a fastener left loose, or one pulled past its specification. Working to the number the job calls for is the simplest way to get it right the first time.

What you get: the 3492UAG-E1 adjustable wrench, 3/4 inch square drive, 100 to 600 ft-lb. Sockets are not included.

  • The torque setting adjusts from 100 to 600 foot-pounds, the top end of the scale where fasteners are large and the specified values are high. Set the figure the specification calls for and tighten to it, rather than estimating a value that is hard to judge by hand at this size.
  • The 3/4 inch square drive takes standard 3/4 inch drive sockets, so the large sockets already in your kit in that drive size fit straight on. Sockets are sold separately, which keeps this a single purchase that works with the sizes you already own in the drawer or on the tool cart.
  • Teng Tools specifies this wrench for the controlled tightening of fasteners in high-torque applications, where a specific torque value is required. Working to a set number helps stop a large nut or bolt being left loose or pulled past its specification, where a guess is expensive to correct.
  • Set the figure once, then work around a flange or a bolt pattern at that setting and change it only when the specification changes. Every fastener in the joint is taken to the same number, which is the reason to tighten to a value rather than estimate it with a long bar.
  • A 3/4 inch drive with a 100 to 600 ft-lb range suits a fleet workshop, a plant or fabrication shop, a maintenance department or work on site, anywhere a large fastener comes with a figure in foot pounds inside that span. It is a single wrench, part number 3492UAG-E1, sold on its own.
