Why this one
Bi-directional torque
Torques in both directions, clockwise and counterclockwise, so it is useful on left hand threads as well as standard right hand threads.
50 to 300 ft-lb range
The range on a 3/4 inch drive suits truck and equipment work.
3/4 inch drive sockets
Uses 3/4 inch drive sockets, with a 3/4 inch square drive that suits the larger fasteners this range covers.
Read the full description
The Teng Tools 3492UAG-ER is a bi-directional 3/4 inch drive wrench with a torque range of 50 to 300 ft-lb. Its mechanism measures torque in both clockwise and counter-clockwise directions, so right hand and left hand threads can each be tightened to a specified value with the same wrench.
When the preset torque value is reached, the wrench signals with an audible click and a physical impulse. Stop at the signal and the fastener finishes at the figure you set. Set it once and every fastener on a flange or in a pattern is taken to the same number; change the setting only when the specification changes.
The bi-directional mechanism is the reason to choose the 3492UAG-ER. Use it where a job includes left hand threads that need a torque figure, so the reverse thread is set as carefully as every right hand thread around it.
The 50 to 300 ft-lb range is stated in foot pounds, and the 3/4 inch square drive takes standard 3/4 inch drive sockets, so the large sockets already in your kit fit without adapters. It suits a fleet workshop, a plant or fabrication shop, a maintenance department or work on site.
What you get: the 3492UAG-ER bi-directional wrench, 3/4 inch drive, 50 to 300 ft-lb. Sockets are not included.
- The 3492UAG-ER measures torque in both clockwise and counter-clockwise directions and works on right hand and left hand threads alike. A reverse thread in a large assembly is taken to its specified value in the same way as every right hand fastener around it, with the same wrench.
- When the preset torque value is reached, the wrench signals with an audible click and a physical impulse you can feel. That is the cue to stop pulling, so the fastener finishes at the figure you set rather than wherever the pull happened to end on a large bolt.
- The torque range runs from 50 to 300 foot-pounds on a 3/4 inch drive. Set the value the specification calls for, pull until the click, and move to the next fastener at the same setting, so a whole flange or bolt pattern ends up at one figure instead of a spread of guesses.
- The 3/4 inch square drive takes standard 3/4 inch drive sockets, so the large sockets already in your kit in that drive size fit straight on. Sockets are sold separately, which keeps this a single purchase that works with the sizes you already own in the drawer or on the cart.
- The R in 3492UAG-ER marks the bi-directional version, for jobs that include left hand threads alongside right hand ones. Preset, click, next bolt: every fastener in a flange or a pattern is taken to the same number. It suits a fleet workshop, a fabrication shop, a maintenance department or work on site.
