Twelve Point

The twelve point design is particularly suited to confined spaces and low visibility situations, allowing connection to a fastener at more angles without needing a clear line of sight.

What drive sizes does the range cover?
1/4" through 1" drive, six-point and twelve-point, metric and SAE, plus a wide range of bit sockets including Hex, TX, TX-E and TPX.
What is the Hip Grip design?
All sockets grip on the flat surfaces of the nut rather than the corners. That prevents damage to nuts and bolts — and lets you grip fasteners whose corners are already damaged.
How do I tell metric and SAE sockets apart quickly?
Look at the etched rings: two rings on the side of each metric socket, one ring on each SAE socket.
What makes the FRP ratchets different?
A fiber handle with steel reinforcement — lighter than a standard ratchet but just as strong — with a 45-tooth mechanism (8° swing), one-handed quick release, a reverse lever, and a bi-material grip that stays comfortable in cold environments.
Can the ratchets be serviced?

Any rules for making sockets last?
From the printed care guide: use the right drive and correct socket size, check thread direction, keep them clean and dry, and use light oil on ratchet mechanisms. Never use hand sockets with impact tools, never use a TPX socket on TX fastenings, and never extend the handle with a pole for leverage.
