1/2 Inch Drive Speed Brace

The Teng Tools M120011-C is a 1/2 inch drive speed brace, the cranked handle that mechanics also call a speeder or brace wrench. Teng Tools designed it to transport fastenings more quickly: once a nut or bolt is free, you crank it in or out with one continuous motion rather than the short strokes of a ratchet.

A ball detent on the male end grips the socket securely. A knurled grip area on the handle gives a better grip, particularly in wet or oily conditions, and the chrome vanadium body has a satin finish for a better grip when handling sockets.

The brace is 420 mm (16.5 in) long and weighs 585 g (1.3 lb). It works with standard 1/2 inch drive sockets and accessories, so it fits into an existing 1/2 inch drive kit alongside the ratchet and breaker bar. Use those to start or break the fastener, then finish with the brace for speed on high-volume assembly and maintenance work.

It is the same speed brace Teng Tools includes in its TTESK63 tool set, so it is also a direct replacement for one that has gone missing from that set.
