1 Inch Drive T Bar Adaptor

The Teng Tools M110030 is a T bar adaptor for 1 inch drive. It converts a 1 inch drive extension bar into a T-bar: the adaptor has a hole that allows the extension bar to slide through, creating a T-handle for increased leverage, while the male square drive of the adaptor turns the socket.

Teng Tools specifies it for extra torque when loosening tough fasteners. Center the bar for even, two-handed turning, or slide it through to one side so the longer end gives more leverage. A spring-loaded ball detent on the male end holds the socket securely to the adaptor, so the socket does not drop off while you position it.

The adaptor is 82 mm (3.2 in) long and weighs 500 g (1.1 lb). Teng Tools lists it as not impact rated, so it is meant for hand use with 1 inch drive sockets and a 1 inch drive extension bar. It is supplied with a metal socket clip for use with a socket rail, so it can live on the rail with your 1 inch drive sockets.

It is a practical way to make a T handle from parts already in a 1 inch drive kit: one adaptor and an extension bar, with the bar length you choose for the reach and leverage the job needs.
