What is in the box:

• PGW1922: ratcheting construction wrench with 19 mm and 22 mm 12 point sockets, a 32 tooth ratchet, flip reverse lever and tapered podger handle with a tethering hole. 315 mm (12.4 inch) long.
• BC408: 200 mm (8 inch) compact cutter for bolts, rods and wire, chrome molybdenum alloy steel, vinyl handles, return spring and lock.
• MT08: 8 m (26 ft) measuring tape graduated in metric and inch, 25 mm wide blade, tape lock, belt clip, power return and rubberised grip.
• SLT01: 230 mm aluminum spirit level with 3 magnets and horizontal, vertical and 45 degree vials.

Why these four go together: on a scaffold or a steel frame the same few jobs repeat. Fittings are tightened and released with the podger, whose tapered handle also lines up holes before a bolt goes in. Ties, wire and small rods are cut with the cutter. Lifts and spacings are checked with the tape, and the level holds on steel by its magnets while plumb and level are checked. The podger is also suited to pallet racking, shelving systems and metal panel erection.

The podger handle has a hole for a fall protection wire, the cutter locks shut for carrying, and the tape clips to a belt, so the kit is easy to carry on a belt or in a pouch.

• SCAFFOLD RATCHET, 19 X 22 MM — The PGW1922 is a ratcheting wrench for construction, carrying 19 mm and 22 mm 12 point sockets, one at each end, with a 32 tooth ratchet for strength on outdoor sites and a flip reverse lever to switch between tightening and loosening. The tapered podger handle aligns holes before fixing, and a hole in the handle takes a fall protection wire. It is 315 mm (12.4 inch) long and weighs 463 g (1 lb).
• SMALL BOLT CUTTERS FOR TIES AND WIRE — The BC408 is 200 mm (8 inch) long, in chrome molybdenum alloy steel, with an 80 degree cutting edge angle and induction hardened edges at HRC 58. Rated capacities are 3.6 mm (0.14 inch) piano wire, 4 mm (0.16 inch) steel wire and 5.2 mm (0.2 inch) iron wire. A return spring reopens the jaws, a lock keeps them closed for storage, and the vinyl grip slides into a pouch.
• 8 M TAPE AND MAGNETIC SPIRIT LEVEL — The MT08 tape reads 8 m (26 ft) in both mm and inches on a 25 mm (1 inch) wide blade, with an ABS case, rubberised grip for wet or oily hands, tape lock, belt clip, power return and an aligning hook. The SLT01 is a 230 mm (9.1 inch) aluminum level with 3 magnets on the underside to hold on steel, horizontal, vertical and 45 degree vials, and a tolerance of 1.0 mm/m.
