This pinch-off clamp shuts off flow in a flexible hose with an internal diameter of 6 to 32mm (1/4 to 1-1/4 inch). It closes the hose temporarily so a fuel, coolant or vacuum line can be disconnected without draining the system. This is a service clamp, not a worm-drive band that holds a hose onto a stub permanently. The jaws are profiled to spread the load rather than crease the hose, which protects the internal lining, and the non-conductive body keeps it safe to use near fuel and live circuits. Use on flexible hose only, never a rigid or braided line. Overall length is 185mm and weight is 74g.
