When you need to isolate a flexible hose without draining the entire system, this Teng Tools plastic pinch off tool does the job cleanly and without damaging the line. The plier-style jaws accommodate hoses from 6 mm up to 32 mm in diameter, which covers nearly every underhood coolant, heater, vacuum, and fuel line on passenger cars and light trucks. At 74 g (2.6 oz) and 185 mm (7.3 in) long, the tool is light enough to keep in a shirt pocket yet long enough to keep your knuckles clear of hot exhaust manifolds and spinning accessories. The red plastic body stands out in a cluttered toolbox, and the material grips the hose without leaving marks, nicks, or weak spots that could become a leak down the road. Common applications include clamping a radiator hose while replacing a water pump, pinching a heater core line during HVAC diagnosis, and shutting off a fuel line while swapping a filter.
